Click here to return to websiteAmendments to Blackpool Civic Trust Constitution dated 29th March 2010 for consideration at the Extra-Ordinary Meeting of 17th May 2010.ONE Amend Section 6 sub section 1 of the Constitution dated 29th March 2010 at the end of the paragraph remove the words ‘and a web Master’ and before the words ‘Events Officer’ add the words’ and an’ Rationale Such an amendment will have the effect of removing the Web Master from the list of Members of the Executive Committee since the Web Master does not wish to sit on this body and he was added erroneously to the list of members thereof. TWO Amend Section 6 sub section 1 of the Constitution dated 29th March 2010 by adding the words ‘Two Without Portfolio Members’ Rationale Such an amendment will give the opportunity for persons who may not have the time to commit to a formal role to bring their strengths to the committee. THREE Amend Section 6 subsection 3 of the Constitution to insert after the phrase ‘AGM’ the words ‘or SGM’ Rationale This would allow the election of members of the Executive Committee between AGM’s in circumstances where a position became vacant during the year. Currently such positions can only be filled by a co-option until the next AGM. The following amendment is a consequential Amendment which are dependant upon the voting on the amendments one and two.
