Collegiate School (New)
Blue Plaque to mark the former site. October 2019. Located at Grizedale Court, Beech Avenue/Forest Gate.

Alistair Cooke
10 Vance Road. Opposite the Central Bus Station on Central Drive. Alistair Cooke, the broadcaster famous for his Letters from America, moved here in 1917, later attending Blackpool Grammar School.

Abingdon Street Market (ex Police Station)
The plaque is located inside the front entrance of the market.

Adelphi Hotel
Church Street, opposite Pizza Express.

Jimmy Armfield CBE DL
The plaque is at Revoe Academy and was unveiled on the 6th Sept 2018. Sponsored by the Professional Footballers’ Association.

Desmond Baguley (New)
Blue Plaque October 2023

Baileys Hotel
Plaque is on Princess Promenade on the colonades outside the Metropole Hotel by North Pier. One of Blackpool’s earliest hotels, it was erected in 1776.

Big Wheel (town centre)
Coronation Street wall of the Winter Gardens.

Blackpool Municipal Airport (Zoo)
At the Zoo entrance. Woodside Drive. The Zoo buildings are still largely the old Art Deco style hangars.

Blackpool Tower
The original plaque was lost and on the 1st October 2019 a new one was unveiled by the Countess of Wessex. Two plaques have been made and will be located near the entrances to the Tower.

Blowing Sands
166 Common Edge Road, junction of Squires Gate Lane.

Bonney’s Farm
King Edward Public House. Plaque is missing.
Borough Theatre

Central Library

Past the front entrance of the pier.

Central Station

Cornelius Bagot
251 Whitegate Drive. Preston New Road end. Cornelius Bagot gifted Little Marton Windmill, which is Grade II listed, in trust as a perpetual memory to local author Allen Clarke.

Church of the Sacred Heart
Talbot Road, close to Talbot Square. The first Roman Catholic Church in Blackpool was designed by Edward W Pugin.

Clifton Hotel
Talbot Square. The Clifton Hotel is on the site of Forshaw’s that was built in 1780.

Site of Courtfield House
Courtfield House was a ‘world class’ hotel and catering training facility in Blackpool. Formerly located on the corner of Park Road and Hornby Road. Thanks to Mike Coyle former lecturer at the college for assistance creating this blue plaque..
