Members have been notified by email and mail that The Blackpool Civic Trust Annual General Meeting will take place on Monday 16th March, 2026 at 7pm at the Holiday Inn, Talbot Rd, Blackpool.
The agenda and nomination forms for the chairman and committee have also been sent in the notification. The meeting will elect the committee for the year 2026/7. Only members can vote.
Our meeting on Monday 16th February 2026 at 7pm will be held in the Holiday Inn, Talbot Road, Blackpool.
There is a change of guest speaker. It is to be Stephen Jones speaking about the differences and similarities of Blackpool and Morecambe.

Our meeting on Monday 16th March at 7pm in the Holiday Inn, Talbot Road will be our Annual General Meeting. There will be no guest speaker. The meeting will follow a process culminating in the election by members of the committee for the period from the AGM 2026 to the AGM in March 2027.
Any members wishing to join the committee should submit a nomination form with nominees as stated. The current committee will stand down and be replaced by the elected committee during the meeting. Current members are listed on our website About Us Page, linked here.

Monday, 17th November, at The Imperial Hotel Blackpool, it’s our November meeting. It will be the annual Robert Evan Mills lecture. This year the lecture is by Bev Carroll and titled. ‘Raikes Hall and the Royal Palace Gardens’.

There was a good turn out for our October meeting in the Holiday Inn Blackpool. A number of proposals were discussed and agreed before the guest speaker, Alistair Baines presented his talk ‘The Life and Times of a Sandgrown Architect’.
From building Sandcastles at Cleveleys to designing Council buildings, Schools, Colleges, Banks and more. With explanations of features and form. Building works such as the new Stanley Building transformation, Glasdon Innovation Centre and Knott End Golf Clubhouse.
